Treatment Guide
Onychomycosis – Nail Fungus
Nail fungus removal using the Fotona SP Dynamis laser system, particularly with the Nd:YAG laser, is an advanced and effective treatment option for onychomycosis (nail fungus). Sometimes, this procedure is combined with ablative Er:YAG laser treatment for enhanced results.
The laser targets the fungal organisms within the nail bed without damaging the nail itself. The heat generated by the laser effectively destroys the fungus residing in the nail matrix and surrounding tissue.
Effective Fungal Elimination: The dual-action of Nd:YAG and Er:YAG lasers targets the fungus more effectively than traditional treatments.
Minimal Discomfort: Most patients report minimal to medium pain during the procedure, and it often requires little to no downtime depending on the size.
- Improved Nail Appearance: As the nail regrows, patients can expect a healthier appearance over time, free from fungal infection.
