Treatment Guide

Skin Lesions – Moles, Keratosis, Skin Tags

Skin lesions like moles, seborrheic keratosis, and skin tags are generally benign, common growths, often appearing with age or sun exposure. While usually harmless, they can cause irritation or cosmetic concerns, and they can be painlessly and readily treated using specialist Laser Nd-Yag Laser.

Key Characteristics and Differences:

  • Moles(Nevi): Small, dark-coloured, often flat or slightly raised growths.
  • Seborrheic Keratosis: Waxy, scaly, “stuck-on” brown or black growths, often on the back or chest. They are not contagious and do not turn into cancer.
  • Skin Tags (Acrochordons): Small, flesh-coloured, soft, hanging growths found in skin creases (neck, armpits).
  • Actinic Keratosis: Precancerous, rough, scaly patches caused by sun damage.
  • Keratosis Pilaris: Small, rough, sandpapery bumps, often on upper arms or thighs.
