IntimaLase® – Vaginal Tightening Treatment
What Is IntimaLase®?
IntimaLase® is an incisionless Er:YAG laser treatment for vaginal relaxation syndrome — the loss of the vagina’s optimum structural tone, generally associated with overstretching of the vaginal canal during childbirth, as well as with natural ageing. It uses the same non-ablative Fotona SMOOTH® technology as our other gynaecological laser treatments, delivered to the surface of the vagina and vulva.
How It Works
IntimaLase delivers specially engineered laser pulses that produce a mild heating effect in the vaginal tissue, stimulating the formation of new collagen and strengthening existing connective tissue. This results in genuine shrinking and thickening of the tissue in the vaginal wall, giving a firmer, tighter quality — without any incision or removal of tissue.
What to Expect: Sessions, Comfort & Recovery
IntimaLase is incisionless and virtually painless, with no special preparation beforehand or precautions needed afterwards — patients can return to their normal everyday activities immediately. Most treatment plans involve two to three sessions, spaced around one month apart, though some patients need additional sessions to achieve their best result.
How Long Do Results Last?
Published data shows results remain stable for up to 18 months post-treatment, after which they begin to gradually diminish. A single maintenance session once a year is generally advised after your initial course, to help sustain your results long-term.

No – the treatment causes only slight shrinkage of existing collagen alongside stimulation of your body’s own natural collagen production, working to restore your tissue toward its earlier, healthier condition rather than tightening beyond it.
