What Is Fotona SmoothEye®?

Fotona SmoothEye® is a non-invasive laser treatment specifically designed for the delicate periocular area — the skin around and beneath the eyes, often one of the first places to show visible signs of ageing. Using the same Fotona SP Dynamis platform behind our Fotona 4D and TwinLight treatments, SmoothEye gently heats the skin to stimulate collagen remodelling, tightening loose eyelid skin and softening periorbital wrinkles without surgery, needles or downtime.

How SmoothEye Works

SmoothEye uses Fotona’s patented non-ablative SMOOTH® mode, delivering the Er:YAG laser in a gentle, almost feather-like manner across the entire periocular region — above, below and to the side of the eyes. Rather than removing the skin’s surface, the laser precisely controls temperature deposition beneath it, activating fibroblasts and stimulating new collagen production (neocollagenesis). Over time this tightens and firms the treated skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and improving overall elasticity.

What to Expect

SmoothEye is very well tolerated, with most clients describing no discomfort during treatment and no anaesthesia required. There’s little to no downtime — some mild warmth or redness may be noticeable immediately afterwards but typically settles quickly, and most clients return to normal activities the same day. Visible tightening and improved skin quality is often noticed within one to two weeks, with results continuing to develop over one to three months as new collagen forms. A course of several sessions is usually recommended for optimal results.
