What Is Fotona LipLase®?

Fotona LipLase® is a non-invasive laser treatment that enhances lip fullness, definition and colour without needles, fillers or surgery. Using the same trusted Fotona SP Dynamis platform behind our Fotona 4D and SmoothEye treatments, LipLase stimulates the lips’ own collagen production, gradually restoring natural volume and a well-defined vermilion border — the kind of result many clients want but worry fillers can overdo.

How LipLase Works (The Two-Step Process)

LipLase combines two complementary laser wavelengths in a single session:

1. Er:YAG laser in SMOOTH® mode — delivered both intraorally (inside the mouth) and externally, this non-ablative step gently heats the lip tissue in a carefully controlled burst of pulses, activating fibroblasts to stimulate new collagen formation and improving perioral wrinkles around the mouth.
2. Nd:YAG laser in PIANO® mode — reaches deeper lying tissue safely, with minimal surface heating, to further stimulate collagen at a deeper level for a fuller, more supported result.

Together, these steps target fullness, volume, the balance between the upper and lower lip, and a clearly defined vermilion border — the features of what’s often considered an “ideal” lip shape — entirely through the body’s own collagen response.
